What a Wonderful World/What an Intriguing World Presentation
Sign-Up/Model
1. Our
first presentation will help us get to know you/your interests, as well as help
Mrs. S understand/assess your oral literacy strengths and next steps.
2.
Research first. Go online to find a news story, video clip, or website (or
connect a few together) that demonstrates that the world is really intriguing
(interesting, unique, thought-provoking) or wonderful. There will be some class
time. The topic must be somehow
related to BODY SYSTEMS (GRADE 5) or BIODIVERSITY (GRADE 6).
3. This
isn’t just about showing us something cool or heartwarming. You need to
narrate. Introduce the issue/topic before the presentation. Summarize. Tell us why this is so awesome or
sweet, make connections, ask questions, or facilitate a discussion
afterwards.
4. Take
inspiration from Mrs. S's sample presentations, but come up with an
original idea. You do not need to memorize a script, just be familiar with the
topic and speak from the heart. ~5 minutes.
5. Feel
free to bring in anything wonderful/intriguing to share with the class all
year long!
